"KJ: Music and Life", a Hong Kong documentary, swept Taiwan's Golden Horse Awards in 2009, winning Best Film Editing, Best Sound Effect and Best Documentary.
Ka-Jeng Wong, a famous young pianist from Hong Kong, also protagonist of the documentary, was invited to give the piano concert "Season of Life" at Zhongshan Culture & Art Center on August 20. The gifted pianist led the audience to taste the joyful and sorrowful life with classical music, and shared his musical experience and life inspiration.
Before the performance, KJ accepted an exclusive interview with Zhongshan Daily. "I rarely talk about the documentary," Wong said. "It records my previous life, which represents the past. But actually I am the sort of person who likes to look forward."
What was that for to play the piano? KJ has been thinking about this question since 11, and he finally found the answer at his 17 -- music can be a guidance in life, making him to be a useful person.
KJ loves music, and music is the way he expresses himself and sees the world and life. Over these years, he held many theme concerts, each of which contained his inner thoughts.
At the Season of Life concert, KJ specially selected a group of songs, including Für Alina, The Devil's Ladder, Mirrors of the Mirrors and Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor to showcase the three stages of life -- sailing, lost, reunion -- in his eyes.
"In the end, we will all reunite with ourselves," said KJ.
