A paper-cut exhibition of Liang Jiekang kicked off on September 25 at Huayuan Community in East District to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. More than 100 residents were attracted to the activity.

Liang Jiekang, a returned overseas Chinese from Japan, has a passion for paper-cut art. In order to celebrate National Day this year, Liang Jiekang began in June and had worked hard to create 35 pieces of paper-cut artwork, taking him more than three months to complete. The various pieces showcase a review of the great and happy events of the People's Republic of China from the past 70 years. Eventually, he chose 17 for the exhibition in the theme park in Huayuan community.

In chronological order, the exhibition features such important events of China as the founding of the People's Republic of China, the liberation of Tibet, the detonation of the first atomic bomb, the restoration of the legitimate seat of the United Nations, the resumption of the college entrance examination, the return of Hong Kong, the return of Macao, and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
