About 1,000 students from senior two of Zhongshan Experimental Middle School gathered in the Solar Calendar Square on the afternoon of September 25 to display the shape of number "70" celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. 

The school held the "Thousand People Calligraphy and Painting" activity. Those students who formed the "7" painted pictures on site, while the students who formed the "0" wrote calligraphy. 

"We hope to portray the beauty of our motherland and write down our blessings for her through this activity," said Jiang Xiaomin, Headmaster of Zhongshan Experimental Middle School.
