The 2019 Guangdong Lingnan Overseas Chinese Hometown A Cappella Music Activities kicked off in the Wing On City square in South District on October 12. The Zhongshan A Cappella Children Training Base was inaugurated on the same day.

The music activities includes material collection, cultural and creative products seminar, a cappella training camp, "Me and My Motherland" a cappella flash mob, works adaptation and publication, and etc.

At the event, No shampoo, an a cappella band founded in August 2018 in UESTC, Zhongshan Institute, performed such songs as "Telephone" and "Light Years Away" to demonstrate the unique charm of a cappella music.

Established in 2011, the Shanghai A Cappella Center is China's largest integrated platform for promoting a cappella music, featuring music education, group article reading promotion and other functions. The Zhongshan A Cappella Children Training Base is its first domestic branch center.
