The 2019 Nanlang Rice Field Festival, with the theme "Beautiful Countryside, Harmonious Nanlang", was held in Zuobu Village last weekend.

Apart from local characteristic cultural performances, the festival also featured popular singers and orchestras from the Pearl River Delta and famous musician Li Haiying, also director of the Pop Music Department, Xinghai Conservatory of Music.

The two-day, one-night event consisted of four major music sessions with more than a dozen powerful bands playing classic red songs, rock, pop, jazz, etc.

In addition to the on-stage music performances, the audience also enjoyed the Sun Yat-sen Cultural Exhibition and large-scale straw handicrafts. They participated in the "Country Music Carnival Party" and interactive activities in the individual/group talent exhibition area. Singers from around the city were welcomed to perform at the exhibition; this gave music lovers an exclusive stage to show their talent.

Colorful windmill making, rural impression graffiti, rural food, local agricultural products sales exhibitions, farming culture, harvest experiences, rice maze, fun field games, and other activities encouraged the audience to enjoy the natural fun.

Visitors were also able to enjoy the art and cultural history of Zuobu Village in the alleys.
