The two-day 2019 Zhongshan Nanlang Rice Field Music Festival came to a successful conclusion on December 1 afternoon. According to its organizers, the event attracted more than 20,000 people who participated in various activities. Over 300,000 people watched the live broadcast online.

At the Country Music Carnival, popular classic red songs, rock music, pop music, jazz music and local original music were performed to entertain the audience.

The organizers equally planned such activities as Sun Yat-sen Culture Exhibition, Reading and Sharing Meeting, Talent Exhibition and Experience Area, Country Food Exhibition, Agricultural Products Exhibition, Farming Culture Experience, Harvest Experience, Paddy Maze, Country Graffiti, etc.

"Zuobu Village is one of the top-quality pilot villages in terms of rural revitalization in Guangdong Province. We hope to transform it into an 'internet-famous village' through this rice field music festival," said Lin Qingbiao, head of the village.

Zuobu Village has a beautiful natural scenery and a deep historical and cultural heritage. It is Dr Sun Yat-sen's ancestral home, as well as the hometown of revolutionist Ou Chu, cartoonist Fang Cheng (Sun Shunchao), famous actress Ruan Lingyu, founder of the first capital company Fang Juzan, and director of the Canton-Hankow Railway Ou Gengxiang.
