The 33rd Zhongshan Charity Parade 2020 New Year Carnival and 100-Enterprises Charity Sale was held on January 1 at the National Fitness Square. Vice Mayor Yuan Yongkang attended the event and presented honorary certificates to the caring enterprises and people who participated in the charity sale for 10 consecutive years or more.
In this event, about 250 caring units donated items including daily necessities, clothes, electrical appliances, stationery, ceramic handicrafts, food, tea, calligraphy and painting works and other items for on-site charity sale.
Shiqi Central Primary School, Zhongshan Experimental Primary School, Zhongshan Special Education School and other schools took active part in the activity. Nearly 1,000 students and parents participated in the charity sale and experienced the social practice of helping others.
The Event also attracted more than 10,000 citizens.
The event lasted from 9am to 2pm that day and raised a total of about 382,800 yuan. All the charity sale revenue will be used for the development of Red Cross undertakings such as humanitarian communication and assistance by the Zhongshan Branch Red Cross Society of China and will be included in the total amount of Zhongshan Chairty Parade donations this year.
