The 2020 Shagang Market Spring Festival Flower Fair will be held from January 15 to 24.

This year's event has three changes: The flower fair will be held at Shagang Market Cultural Square near Qiwan Avenue; The area has expanded from 8,000 square meters to 12,000 square meters; This year, the content of the folk culture fair will be integrated. During the flower fair, there will also be public welfare temple fairs, large-scale light shows, and art performances.

The booths will be set up from January 12. This year, the fair will have a more reasonable layout to facilitate citizens in buying flowers and having fun. Specifically, Area A is the Xiangshan gourmet area, Areas B, C and D contain high-grade orchids and Spring Festival couplets, and Areas G and H are Spring Festival flower areas.

In addition, the sculpture building of Shagang Market Cultural Square will be turned into a light show space, with a two-hour light show on the wall every day. An interactive area will be added to the open space in front of the watchtower to create the best place to take photos.

The banyan tree on the square will be decorated with lanterns and a blessing belt will be built around it, on which citizens can writing new year blessings.

The main passage of the flower fair will be decorated with a large-scale theme lantern sculpture, which will be displayed along with the large-scale folk-custom picture scroll of Shagang Market.

As parking lot No.1 of Shagang Market will be temporarily occupied by the flower fair, citizens can park at parking lot No.2, No.3 and No.4. With the additional parking lot No.5 on Yuewan Road, a total of 690 parking spaces will be provided.
