Cultural venues offer 'cultural feast' online
Updated: 2020-03-03    Source: Zhongshan Daily Large Medium Small Print

In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, public cultural centers at all levels in Zhongshan city were temporarily closed in late January and all kinds of on-site activities were canceled.

To enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the public during the epidemic prevention period, Zhongshan public cultural venues have launched online public cultural services.

For example, The Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen has promoted its Wechat applet for visiting the museum, and Zhongshan Museum has introduced 3D model displays of cultural relics. These items allowed the general public to enjoy a wonderful "cultural feast" at home.

Online cultural activities such as the Online Lantern Festival Riddles and "Zhongshan Online Charity Parade" have received "likes" from many citizens.

In addition, the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Library provides readers with reading services 24 hours a day. From January 23 to February 25, Zhongshan's E-reading Platform received 1.1884 million views, up 81.8% from this time last year, with 127.88 gigabytes of downloads, up 114.1% from last year.
