Zhongshan's first membership bookstore, Fandeng Bookstore, opened at Xingwen Alley and started its trial operation on March 28.

The bookstore covers an area of 1,300 square meters, and citizens must pay membership fees before entering. It mainly sells books of social science and art, together with original English, Hong Kong and Taiwanese books.

The person in charge said that the bookstore not only sells books, but also aims to provide a reading experience and establish a social platform to serve the community and help people build friendships.
