Lotus flowers are now in full bloom and the 10th Lotus Tourism and Culture Festival in Zhongshan city will open on June 13 in Xiangnongzhou Agricultural High-tech Park. The event will last till July 31.

The director of Xiangnongzhou said that in order to increase the popularity of the festival and make this year' event grander, they had upgraded the main entrance of the park in advance.

This year's Lotus Tourism and Culture Festival will, for the first time, display the outstanding works that won the national poetry and couplet competition "Ode to the Lotus". "At that time, we will invite local calligraphers and painters to re-create these works, hoping to make poetry culture more appealing and vivid, to gain diversified appreciation forms, and to endow the cultural festival with more cultural significance," said Gao Song, chairman of the Zhongshan Chinese Poetry and Couplets Association.

In order to make the event more interesting, the organizer will also set up "7D Glass Sky", "Hot Air Balloons" and other amusement facilities, providing a good place for citizens to relax, enjoy the flowers and take photos.
