Players from the two teams faced off against each other in the Xingzhong Stadium on August 9. It was a Zhongshan Football Super League match sponsored by the Zhongshan Football Association.

Following the restart of the first and second divisions the day before, all three Zhongshan football leagues which were postponed due to the epidemic have now fully resumed and the matches will last from August to November.

A total of 8 teams take part in this year's super league, and the last place team will be relegated to next year's first division. There are 10 teams in the first division, and the first place team will be promoted to the next year's super league, and the two teams lowest in the standings will be relegated to the second division. There are 27 teams in the second division, and the top two teams will be promoted to next year's first division.
