The 12th Zhongshan Book Fair, with the theme "The Charm of Books in a Prosperous Society", kicks off on Thursday, August 20.

The four-day event will be held in an innovative way that combines online and offline activities with simultaneous exhibitions. The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Library, 24 township libraries and 25 participating bookstores will jointly organize exhibitions. The online "Zhongshan Book Fair" will also be accessible.

This is the first time launching the "Zhongshan Book Fair" online. It will bring celebrity lectures, good book recommendations, reading trends, offline activities, and other services to the internet. Furthermore, theme photo shows including "The Archives Exhibition of Prosperous Efforts" and "Exhibition of Works on Epidemic Prevention" will be held.

On the afternoon of August 22, Nie Zhenning, a well-known reading promoter, will give a theme lecture on "How Reading Determines Learning Ability" at the Zhongshan Municipal Party School.
