The revised version of "The Wind Rises", a revolutionary drama, was performed on the evening of April 21 in Zhongshan Torch Polytechnic.
It takes place in the 1930s when authorities suddenly sealed off Shunfu Inn in Lingnan Town, Guangdong Province to find a CPC member in a special mission. Since its debut last year, the show has been praised by people from all walks of life. It was also shortlisted in the 14th Guangdong Art Festival and won the third prize.
Tian Jingang, the scriptwriter, said that further optimizing the script for more than two months and revitalizing the cast with more young actors from Zhongshan created a more complete and rhythmic composition as well as the more exquisite lines.
"The Wind Rises" will be put on a total of 30 times across towns and sub-districts in Zhongshan to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
