During the May Day holiday, more than 100 cultural tourism activities were held across Zhongshan to meet the leisure needs of citizens and tourists.

During the holiday, public libraries, cultural centers, museums, art galleries and other public institutions at all levels in Zhongshan were open to the public to provide citizens who did not travel with cultural activity places.

On May 1, "Art Salon - Caricature Drawing (Labor Day)" was held at the Zhongshan Cartoon Museum. Artists from all over Guangdong Province drew one-on-one portraits for visitors. More than 150 people came to the event and 102 portraits were given away for free.

Sun Yat-sen Memorial Library was open as usual during the holiday, attracting more than 6,000 visitors per day. The library also launched rich online and offline reading activities for citizens.

Many tourism activities and festivals, including the Shenwan Pineapple Culture Tourism Week, East District Public Shopping Festival, South District Vintage ACG Festival and Dongfeng Fengchao Bay Summer Party,  were held in towns and sub-districts and major scenic spots.
