Since the beginning of this year, all of Zhongshan's towns and districts have been actively promoting the education of Party history through folk songs and have created a number of local and special publicity brands.

Zhongshan is one of the cultural centers of Salty Water Song in Guangdong. Zhongshan Salty Water Songs are nationally recognized cultural tradition. There is strong support for this tradition in Tanzhou, Dongsheng, Sanjiao, Minzhong, Henglan, Gangkou, Fusha and other towns and districts.

On the evening of June 4, a salty water song titled "A New Chapter of the Century-old CPC" was sang under a banyan tree in Jiangbin Park, Xinsheng Village, Dongsheng Town. This is the first song performed in the 6th Salty Water Song Competition in Dongsheng Town.

In the same evening, 32 groups of contestants from the adult category performed on stage to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and give their blessings for the Dragon Boat Festival, rural revitalization, crisped grass carp, epidemic prevention and control and family harmony. The performances showed the audience the unique culture of this tradition.

Contestants from Tanzhou, Fusha, Xiaolan, West District and Nanlang also joined the competition.
