The 2022 Zhongshan Shaxi Culture & Tourism Carnival is being held in Shaxi Town from May 8 to June 18. On the morning of May 8, the eighth day of the fourth month of the lunar calendar, the launch ceremony was held as scheduled at Shengshi Folk Museum in Shaxi Town.

The "April 8 of Lunar Calendar" is one of the most well-preserved and celebrated folk activities in Zhongshan and it reflects the charm of rural culture in Zhongshan.

The 2022 Zhongshan Shaxi Cultural Tourism Carnival will last for 40 days, and eight series of activities will be launched, including the "Chasing April 8 of Lunar Calenda" online activity, calligraphy, photo and art exhibitions, photography competition, Cantonese opera shows, orienteering race and etc.

On the same day, the Shengshi Village History Exhibition Hall in Shaxi Town opened and attracted many visitors.
