At the 4th Zhongshan Music and Dance Festival, the song and dance performance of Love for Overseas Chinese Hometown, selected by South District, received a lot of praise for its beautiful melody and graceful choreography.

The lyrics of Love for Overseas Chinese Hometown, written by Li Guifeng, a full-time music teacher from Zhongshan Liangdu High School, integrate elements of historical stories and human landscape of South District. As a birthplace of Xiangshan culture, South District has nurtured a large number of famous figures and overseas Chinese. Their stories were embodied into Love for Overseas Chinese Hometown to become unique memories of Liangdu, a hometown of many overseas Chinese.

The song was first performed by the Faculty Choir of Liangdu High School. On the stage, the three singers and dancers from the Hemei Dance Troupe in South District brought a beautiful show to the audience.
