The 2nd National Reading Conference - Forum on Reading and Rural Revitalization & Launch Ceremony of "New Era Rural Reading Season" were held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on April 23.

At the forum, Zhongshan received several national awards for "reading".

Among these awards, "Transformation of Ancestral Hall into Rural Library: A New Path for Fine Traditional Culture Inheritance by Rural Bookhouses" contributed by Yongmo Village, Sanxiang Town was selected as a "Case of Rural Library Innovation Demonstration"; and the rural bookhouse in Lixi Village, Banfu Town was listed among the "Most Beautiful Rural Bookhouses".

The "Zhongshan Reading Month" event was selected as an excellent project for the promotion of reading for 2022-2023. The "Reading Zhongshan" WeChat official account was on the seventh list of "Favorite Reading-related New Media Accounts".

Zhongshan has not only upgraded its public cultural service facilities, but also created an atmosphere of "loving reading, reading good books and being good at reading". There are currently a total of 103 Xiangshan Studies set up across the city.
