The 2023 South China Book Festival (Zhongshan), also the 15th Zhongshan Book Fair, came to a successful close on August 22.

This year, more than 60,000 publications were showcased across 20 exhibition areas, and over 400 online and offline reading promotion activities were held. Book vouchers worth 5 million yuan were issued to residents.

During the five-day event, over 51,000 visitors were attracted to the main venue set up at the Zhongshan Expo Center, leading to a total sales amount of 2.85 million yuan.

The Zhongshan Book Fair Cloud platform garnered over one million views on its live streaming activities, while the total number of views on related news reports surpassed 1.5 million.

During the book fair this year, famous names such as Bai Yansong, Tong Xixi, Tang Sulan, Ma Boyong, Sai Lei and Sara Imas showed up as guests to introduce their new books, deliver theme lectures and joining other reading activities.
