A press conference was held on October 24 for the 2023 "Discovering the Beauty of China" National Rural Orienteering Series (Zhongshan Lixi) & the 2023 Guangdong Orienteering Championship for College Students.

The competition will take place in Lixi, Shenwan and Baixi villages in Banfu Town from October 27 to 29. During the period, activities such as the Lixi Night Market will also be organized to showcase Banfu's achievements in pursuing rural revitalization and high-quality development.

A total of 51 teams with 971 athletes will participate in such events as short distance race, relay race, team race, points race, and 100-meter orienteering race. Over 1,000 athletes and referees will arrive at Banfu on October 27.
