The final of the national Village Basketball Association 2023 kicked off in Taipan Village, Taijiang County of Guizhou Province on the evening of October 28. After over an hour of fierce competition, Guangdong Zhongshan's Shaxi Town defeated Guangdong Dongguan's Dalang Town with a score of 84:78 and won the championship.

Since the beginning of the Village Basketball Association, Shaxi Town has maintained an outstanding record, and it was the runner-up in the Guangdong Division and the runner-up in the Southeast Division. In the group round-robin of the national finals, Shaxi Town defeated Gansu's Chuimatan Town, Guizhou's Shangzhong Town and Shandong's Yuezhuang Town successively, and advanced to the final with an unbeaten record.

Shaxi Town also won a Guanling cattle as the champion prize after the final match. On October 30, the "Champion Cattle" arrived at Shaxi from Taijiang, Guizhou Province and settled down at the Fenghuangshan Park. It has now become a new "internet celebrity" in the city.
