The 8th Lingnan Folk Culture Festival opened with a grand performance show at the Su Bingtian Gymnasium in Guzhen Town on the evening of November 11.

Thirty-two folk performance teams from 15 cities across Guangdong province participated in the performance show, including Chinese Folk Art "Mountain Flowers Award" winners Puning Yingge Dance and Yunfu Helou Dance, as well as national intangible cultural heritage items such as Shanwei Fishing Song and Shanwei Kylin Dance and Zhongshan's Salty-water Song, Drunken Dragon Dance and Liufang Cloud Dragon Dance.

On November 12, these performance teams also conducted a parade in Guzhen Town and public tour performances in Guzhen Town, East District and Banfu Town.
