May 18 marks the 48th International Museum Day. Co-sponsored by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province and the Zhongshan People's Government, the 2024 Guangdong International Museum Day Celebration Event, with the main venue set up in Zhongshan, will be held from May 17 to 18.

The launch ceremony along with the Night at the Museum activity will be held on the evening of May 17. Theme activities including exhibitions, public welfare activities, study tours, political classes and cultural & creative product exhibitions will be launched on May 18, which allow the public to have a taste of the Greater Bay Area culture.

The 2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Museum Development Conference, one of the activities, will be held at the Sheraton Zhongshan Hotel, aiming to explore new paths of innovative development of museums in the GBA as well as new modes for cultural heritage protection.
