A basketball invitational tournament started on the evening of July 1 at Shaxi Gymnasium in celebration of the opening of the ShenZhong Link.

The opening match was played between Zhongshan Longteng Basketball Club and Hong Kong Creative Youth Sports Association, and the home team finally emerged victorious 82 to 71.

In addition to Hong Kong Creative Youth Sports Association, the tournament is also joined by the Guangdong University Of Technology basketball team, winner of the 25th CUBA, Shenzhen Hengrong Technology led by former CBA player Wang Jing, and Macao Hou Chon Sports Club.

At the opening ceremony, the Greater Bay Area Basketball League made its debut, with Zhongshan Longteng and Hong Kong Creative Youth Sports Association becoming the first to join.
