The 3rd Lighting Culture Carnival opened at the Guzhen People's Square on the evening of October 22.

The event kicked off with a Cantonese cuisine chef skills competition. Chefs from well-known restaurants, farm restaurants and special eateries in Guzhen were invited to show their cooking talents. Specialty dishes such as Shiqi Pigeon and Haizhou Fish Cake attracted many visitors to take photos.

Neon lights flickered as night fell. The Guzhen People's Square was bustling with people, adorned with unique dreamy lights. The lighting market offered delicacies and small commodities, and showcased intangible cultural heritage.

Activities including the Employees' Talent Show, the Golden Earth Concerts, Cantonese opera shows, the youth entrepreneurship fairs and auto promotion activities will take place during the Lighting Culture Carnival.

The event will run for 4 days at its main venue in the Guzhen People's Square, and will run through October 31 at other sub-venues.
