The First "Bauhinia Cup" Folk Lion and Kylin Dance Invitational Competition was held at the Zijing Square in Sanjiao Town, Zhongshan on February 9.

Thirteen teams from across the city competed in the south lion high-pole dance and traditional dance events as well as the kylin dance event.

Usually, people perform the kylin dance during festivals and holidays to welcome good fortune, and pray for favorable weather and prosperity and peace.
