This year's Zhongshan Charity Parade event saw a total amount of donations of funds and materials at 163.66 million yuan.
During the opening ceremony, guests presented the 2024 Zhongshan Charity Commemorative Medal (Golden Chrysanthemum Award) to charitable enterprises, individuals and model projects. Representatives of donors handed over the donation check to the Red Cross Society of China Zhongshan Branch.
At 10 am, the parade officially began accompanied by the theme song. A total of 240 parade teams composed of Zhongshan residents and people from all walks of life, along with other kind-hearted people, marched forward along Xingzhong Avenue.
Over 20 intangible cultural heritage performance teams also took turns to show the characteristics of Lingnan culture, intangible cultural heritage and overseas Chinese culture.
