Zhongshan and Zhuhai, joining hands with tourism and Internet-related social organizations from Hong Kong, Macao and Shenzhen, kicked off the China Tourism Day celebrations at the Chinese Rosewood Culture Expo City in Dachong Town on May 19.

The opening ceremony highlighted culture and tourism resources, including the homestay micro-vacation routes, the first batch of Top 10 Research & Study Travel Bases, and Zhongshan's recommended rural homestays. Twenty-six online influencers were appointed as Zhongshan's culture & tourism promotional ambassadors.

Activities such as an online influencers' media tour, the worry-free GBA tour for seniors and the Little Tour Guides Competition were launched at the ceremony.

Tourism associations and travel agencies from Hong Kong, Macao, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Zhongshan launched the "Greater Bay Area Worry-Free Tourism Initiative", while Zhuhai and Zhongshan concurrently unveiled the worry-free GBA tour routes for seniors.
