A press conference was held in Zhongshan on August 18 to unveil details of the China Chorus Association 2025 Choral Arts Week event, highlighting its cultural significance and preparation progress.
With the theme "A Date in Zhongshan", this year's event will be held at the Zhongshan Culture & Art Center and Zhongshan Broadcasting & Television Station from August 20 to 24.
The five-day event features three special choral concerts, eight master lectures and a variety of immersive culture and tourism activities, attracting top choral professionals, enthusiasts and internationally acclaimed artists nationwide.
The festival opens with a gala concert on August 20 night at the Grand Theater of Zhongshan Culture & Art Center, featuring six acclaimed choirs from Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan, Huizhou, Jiangmen and Zhongshan.
Two standout performances follow: the Shenzhen Opera & Dance Theatre choir's "Melodies of Xiangshan" on August 22, showcasing global choral classics, and the "Poya Songbook: Buds of Written Words" concert on August 24, celebrating ethnic musical heritage. Tickets for these two shows are now available on Damai and Maoyan platforms, with a special public welfare price of 80 yuan.
