Zhongshan's Xingzhong Stadium erupted in fervor on October 7, as the highly anticipated "Super Weekend" Zhongshan Town Football League 2025 officially kicked off.

This grassroots football tournament, exclusive to Zhongshan residents, unites 23 teams from the city's towns, subdistricts and new economic/social organizations. Spanning 17 weeks, the event will showcase 67 matches blending group stage rounds and knockout battles.

The "Super Weekend" draws elite players from diverse sectors, who are teachers, factory workers, entrepreneurs, civil servants, and more. Weekdays see them diligently serving their communities, while weekends transform them into competitors vying for glory on the pitch.

Complementing the matches, a "Super Weekend" bazaar will run from 4 PM to 10 PM on game days, featuring stalls offering gourmet food, interactive games, and live band performances.

The tournament is entirely free to attend. Tickets can be reserved via the "Zhongshan Plus" app by tapping "Ticket Reservation".
