The 5th Zhongshan-Latin America Exchange Festival was held in Zhongshan from December 13 to December 14. Latin American delegates toured iconic sites, including the Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen and the ShenZhong Link west artificial island, to gain immersive insights into the city's historical heritage and vibrant development.

Over 20 international college students from 9 Latin American countries also visited the Zhongshan Museum, Zhongshan TCM Culture Museum and Star Alliance Global Brand Lighting Center to experience the city's charm through the fusion of historical legacy and modern industry.

Over the past decade, Zhongshan has strengthened cooperation with Latin America, with previous four editions of the exchange festival attracting over 500,000 participants. 

Last year, trade volume between Zhongshan and Latin America hit 29.6 billion yuan, up 33.9% year-on-year.
