The first Greater Bay Area "Child BA" Youth Basketball Open started on the evening of January 31 at Gangkou Gymnasium in Zhongshan's Gangkou Town.

The tournament has two divisions, covering age groups from U6 to U14. Over 2,200 young players from 15 regions including Hong Kong, Macao, Zhongshan, Dongguan and Jiangmen will compete in more than 500 matches from February 1 to February 7.

During the opening ceremony, two 2-meter-tall intelligent robots performed a dance to welcome guests, and the outdoor "Child BA" night market featured over 30 stalls, jointly transforming the competition into a festival blending sports, culture and tourism.
