The Guangdong division of the national Village Basketball Association ("Village BA", or "CunBA"), tipped off in Yunfu city on August 2.

Due to rain, the opening game for two‑time CunBA champion Zhongshan Shaxi was postponed.

In the early hours of August 3, Zhongshan Shaxi (in white) routed Chaozhou Chao'an 72‑30 for a convincing first win. 

That evening, they followed up with a 102‑71 victory over Yunfu Yun'an, securing their second straight win.
