The "Invite In" program of a culture and tourism promotion campaign Zhongshan holds to mark the 160th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen's birth kicked off on the Sunwen West Road pedestrian street on the evening of October 12.

A delegation of experts, scholars and journalists from the Greater Bay Area as well as from Hubei, Henan, Shanghai and elsewhere toured the street to explore its rich cultural heritage and vibrant atmosphere along the way.

The year 2026 marks the 160th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen's birth. Zhongshan Daily and Zhongshan Broadcasting & Television Station jointly launched the culture and tourism promotion campaign.

The campaign consists of 3 programs, namely "Go Out", "Invite In," and "Link Up." The "Invite In" program runs through October 15, and guests will visit Sunwen West Road, the Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen and Cuiheng village to retrace Sun Yat-sen's formative years, and then tour rural communities and industrial front lines across the city to see firsthand how it is putting "culture+" integrated development into practice.
