At the 7th Zhongshan Most Socially Responsible Enterprise Media Award Ceremony held on 23 January 2024, which was sponsored by Zhongshan Daily and Zhongshan Federation of Industry and Commerce under the guidance of the Publicity Department and United Front Work Department of the Zhongshan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Dr K.C. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of China (Hong Kong) English School, won the most valuable individual award, Socially Responsible Private Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

This event has received high attention from all walks of life, attracting nearly 200 famous enterprises in Zhongshan city to actively participate. After serious review and selection of the registered enterprises by experts from Zhongshan Economic Research Institute, Xiangshan Think Tank Research Institute, Xiangshan Culture Research Institute, Zhongshan High-level Talents Association and other academic institutions, in the aspects of enterprise development, social contribution and responsibility, a group of outstanding enterprises and entrepreneurs stood out and won the "Social Responsibility Enterprise Award", "Annual Social Responsibility Private Entrepreneur Award", "Entrepreneurship Award" and other awards respectively.

"Others return to mainland China to set up a factory, yet he goes back to build schools", this is a theme that many media reporters pay special attention to when interviewing Dr K.C. Jonathan Choi. Indeed, since he returned to Zhongshan from Hong Kong 30 years ago to set up the China (Hong Kong) English School, one of the first private international schools in Southern China, Dr. Choi has been committed to building a quality international education for Zhongshan and the Greater Bay Area. At the same time, he has made unremitting efforts to build a bridge for overseas Chinese students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to find their roots in the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
