All the Chinese and foreign teachers at China (Hong Kong) English School (short for C.H.E.S.) had enjoyed a special Teachers' Day on September 10.

On the same day, Guo Wenhai, Secretary of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, came to the secondary section of C.H.E.S. to visit the representatives of the teaching staff, and extended holiday greetings to all teachers and educators across the city. Guo Wenhai emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the important exposition of General Secretary Xi Jinping on education and the important speech spirit at the National Education Conference. He also mentioned the importance of promoting the educator spirit, strengthening the construction of a high-quality and professional teaching team in the new era, and continuing to create a social atmosphere of respecting teachers and attaching importance to education, so that teachers can enjoy a high social reputation and become one of the most respected professions in society.

C.H.E.S., established in Zhongshan, Guangdong in September 1994, is one of the earliest bilingual international schools in south China. Currently, the total number of students in Zhongshan and Jiangmen campuses has exceeded 5,000, more than 50% of whom are from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas areas. Over the past 30 years, the school has been committed to cultivating outstanding and virtuous talents with bilingual thinking, international vision, extroverted personality, and innovative ability. Guo Wenhai visited the teachers and students at C.H.E.S. and extended holiday greetings to all the teachers. He pointed out that C.H.E.S. has combined the excellent Chinese traditional culture with international teaching concepts, forming a complete school-running system ranging from kindergarten, primary school to junior middle school and high school. It not only meets the diverse educational needs of the society but also provides high-quality resources for Zhongshan to create a first-class business environment. The chairman of the school, Dr. Jonathan Choi, upholds the patriotism and returns to his hometown to establish the school. He has adhered to the front line of education for decades, advocated teaching and educating students, and embodied the educator spirit.
