Guangdong English Film Dubbing Competition, which started in 2012, has been successfully held for 11 consecutive years, with a total of 40,000 participants, and has been widely recognized by all sectors of society. The dubbing contest was co-sponsored by Sun Yat-sen Library of Guangdong Province and Library Society Guangdong, with a total of 1,922 teams and 6,909 contestants. After competitive preliminary contests, 26 elite teams from 22 competition areas in the province entered the finals, and gathered in Sun Yat-sen Library of Guangdong Province in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, on November 25 to have the final competition.
C.H.E.S. Dubbing team members, Wu Chen Shiyu, Fan Heung Kiu and Kim Min Jong, won the First Prize in the Zhongshan Dubbing Contest with their stunning dubbing piece Tough Love. They became the one and only team to represent Zhongshan City to compete in the provincial pre-final.

Once again, they passed the pre-final screening with their work and successfully entered the finals. This is the second time that C.H.E.S. has represented Zhongshan City to compete in the provincial film dubbing finals. The last time was in 2021 when the Dream of the Middle Earth team which composed of 5 boys made it to the provincial finals.
The theme of the finals is "performing film art with sound, telling Chinese stories with emotion". The contestants must select Chinese film clips first released in the Chinese Mainland, match with English subtitles, and dub in English. Under the guidance of our English teachers Ms Liang Chunxia and Ms Xu Yuan of the dubbing club, the three contestants prepared carefully, rehearsed diligently during extracurricular time, and ultimately demonstrated their talents in English dubbing in the finals.
In the final competition, the three girls were calm and composed, fully engaged, and vividly interpreted the classic excerpts of Nezha: Fight Your Fate with their voices, receiving unanimous praise from the judges. Ultimately, they ranked No.3 among 26 teams and won the Silver Prize.
