Pearson Education, the world's largest education publishing group, held the Pearson Longman New Leap Primary School English Conference and Interdisciplinary Integrated Teaching Seminar in the Primary School of China (Hong Kong) English School on March 14 and 15. Experts from Pearson have given speeches regarding the topics of "The choice of English teaching resources under the guidance of New Curriculum Standards" and "the Interdisciplinary Integration of Primary School English under the guidance of New Curriculum Standards".

Mr. Liu Zhaoyi, former director of the Foreign Language Department of Wuhan Institute of Education Sciences, a core member of the English Curriculum Standards Research Group of the Ministry of Education, honorary director of the Working Committee of Informatization Application of Foreign Language Education in Primary and Secondary schools of China Educational Technology Association, gave a keynote speech - How to Make a New Leap in English Teaching and Learning. In his lecture, he cited the the English teaching at C.H.E.S. as a case study, believing that the school has adapted to the curriculum reform of basic education in China, introduced a new curriculum that breaks disciplinary boundaries, and attached importance to the cultivation of students' ability to solve problems with interdisciplinary knowledge, which is worthy of recognition.

Several hundreds of teachers and experts from Pearson Education, Jinan ELTMAX Education Technology Co., Breeze Books (Guangzhou), Guangzhou Cheng Yi Education Technology Company., Chengdu City Golden Apple Longnan Primary School, China (Hong Kong) English School attended the meeting.
Eight outstanding English teachers from C.H.E.S. presented open lessons covering 6 grades of primary school, which were highly praised by the guests and experts. Mr. Liu Zhaoyi believes that the English teaching of the school not only attaches importance to classroom teaching, but also focuses on the cultivation of students' English listening, speaking, reading and writing ability.
