Zhongshan hopefully to add 23 more historical buildings

Zhongshan Urban and Rural Planning Bureau publicizes the exposure draft of the control planning of the additional historical buildings in central city on its official website. According to the draft, Zhongshan will hopefully add 23 new historical buildings within the city and 10 immovable cultural relics in historical districts (streets).


The new immovable cultural relics are distributed in Shiqi District and South District. Shiqi District includes the Green Pavilion on West Hill in Taiping community (built in 1913), the old building of Zhongshan County Workers Cultural Palace (1995), the Qijiang River Bridge (1984), the old site of Yong An Company (1929) and the old site of Huifeng Company (the period of the Republic of China). The former two are in the West Hill Temple Historical District, while the latter three are in Sunwen West Historical Street.


Meanwhile, the old site of Shachong Overseas Chinese Hospital, the house in NO.137 Nanbao Street, the old sites of Shachong School, Zaiming Academy and Shachong Girl’s School, all built in the period of the Republic of China in Shachong Historical District, belong to South District.
