From midnight on August 1st, off-site enforcement to address the issue of the overload and oversize transportation of highway will be implemented in 21 highway toll stations in Zhongshan. According to Zhongshan traffic and transportation authorities, the data and information obtained through off-site snapshot will be regarded as evidence of case investigation after being confirmed.

Zhongshan transport authorities revealed that the work is orchestrated by the Guangdong Province in a unified manner, and the data and information will be put into Guangdong’s data platform. After Zhongshan Transportation Bureau receives the relevant data, it will investigate and confirm the pictures and videos. Following the confirmation of these data, they will be regarded as evidence, and the Bureau will punish the vehicles involved in accordance with law.

“From midnight on August 1st, off-site enforcement to address the issue of the overload and oversize transportation of highway will be implemented in 4 toll stations in Gangkou, Dongsheng, Xiaolan and Henglan along the Zhong-Jiang Highway,” the director of Zhong-Jiang Highway Company Limited told the reporter. In addition to taking photos of overload and oversize vehicles at the exit, staff from the toll stations will also give Notifications on Overload and Oversize Vehicles at Exit to drivers, forbid overload and oversize vehicles to enter the highway and remind the drivers to accept punishment in Zhongshan Transportation Bureau.

According to the authorities, law enforcement department will put the vehicles, which do not accept punishment for more than 30 days, into a blacklist. When staff find vehicles in the blacklist enter the toll stations, they will ask them to leave and forbid them to enter the highways. Earlier, 7 cities in Guangdong Province, including Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhuhai, Zhaoqing, Huizhou, Jiangmen and Maoming, have implemented off-site enforcement to address the issue of the overload and oversize transportation of highway in highway toll stations.
