The 2017 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation Forum cum Summit for the Development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area was convened in Zhongshan on July 28.
Executive Vice-president of China Center for International Economic Exchanges Zhang Xiaoqiang and Vice-director of Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, MOFCOM Li Guanghui were invited to provide keynote addresses “Developing and Planning Research on City Agglomeration of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area” and “Accelerating Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Construction, Leading Open-type World Economy Development” respectively to the guests.
More than 400 persons including city leaders, representatives of business associations, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, specialists and scholars and etc from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao participated in the forum. During the forum, Hong Kong Chief Secretary for Administration Matthew Cheung was issued Appointment Letter of Honorary Adviser by Member of Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Huang Huahua on behalf of Council for the Promotion of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation. Zhongshan Deputy Mayor Yang Wenlong introduced Zhongshan’s social-economic development and investment climate.
Part of the guests also took trips to Zhongshan’s Tsuihang New District, National Health Technology Park, Zhongshan E-Park and Zhongshan Rosewood Culture Expo City for investigation in social-economic development, investment climate, industrial and traffic layout, and unique developmental advantages of Zhongshan city.
