Twelve Zhongshan enterprises are in the 2017 Guangdong Top500 Enterprises list released last week. Broad-Ocean Motor, with a revenue of 6.8 billion yuan, ranks 154th in the list, the highest among the 12 Zhongshan enterprises. Forest Lighting ranks 179th with a revenue of 5.52 billion yuan and Homa ranks 189th with a revenue of 5.04 billion yuan. 

Except Yingma, the other 11 Zhongshan enterprises are all listed companies. All the 12 were also in the list of 2016. 

After reviewing the past three years' Guangdong Top500 Enterprises lists, the reporter found that the number of Zhongshan enterprises in the list had declined. In 2017, 12 Zhongshan enterprises were in the list, 3 fewer than 2015. In 2015, Zhongshan Silk Group, the highest ranking Zhongshan enterprise, was in the 128th place. ONE PLUS ONE Commercial Chain Stores and BATA Electrical were also in the 2015 list. 

According to Guangdong Entrepreneurs Association, which is responsible for releasing the Guangdong Top500 Enterprises list, the enterprises in the 2017 list were ranked basing on their annual revenue in 2016 and taking into account other business indicators. The list is released after a panel of judges’ examination.
