Zhongshan municipal government introduced The Regulations of the Public Participation in Government Legislation recently in order to allow the public to actively participate in lawmaking work.

According to the regulations, public is allowed to participated in four stages of legislation including projecting, drafting, reviewing, and implementing processes.

The regulations will come into effect on September 1, 2017. It will be valid for five years.
