On August 9, Guangzhou Port Company Limited, Foshan Public Utilities Company Limited and Zhongshan City Construction Group Company Limited held contact signing ceremony in Nansha Development Zone. The three companies will establish a joint venture to invest and operate Nansha harbor program phase 4 construction, striving to complete the project by the end of 2020. 

The project is located in excavated harbor basin at the middle of Nansha harbor. Two 100-thousand-ton-container berths and two 50-thousand-ton-container berths with corresponding lighter berths are planned to be built. The vomit of the project is 4.8 million standard box. The estimated investment of the project is 5.588 billion yuan. 

Through this cooperation, the sailing services of Nansha port and the policy dividends of Free Trade Pilot Zone can be extended to Zhongshan, which can reduce the city’s logistics cost and promote the establishment of multi-layer and multi-area cooperation among Zhongshan, Guangzhou and Foshan.
