More than 300 overseas youth from dozens of youth organizations of overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese friendship associations based in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao gathered at Shumu Garden on the morning of August 19 and participated in the 1st Zhongshan Overseas Youth Hiking activity.

The 6km hiking trip cost about 1.5 hours. Participants who completed appointed tasks and finished the tour were awarded a memorial medal.

The inauguration of the Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Youth Public Forest was also conducted on the same day. Totally 45 trees were adopted by youth organizations of overseas Chinese and overseas young people.
