Ocean School located in East District, which opens in September this year, will become the the first nine-year public school in the central city of Zhongshan. Recently, grade one and grade seven (junior grade one) freshmen have done enrollment continuously.

The primary section of the school includes the students and teachers of the original Ocean Primary School, and the secondary section includes those of the original Dongqu High School. It is known that there are  about 1300 students in primary school and about 1200 in middle school this year. The school can hold 3000 students at most.

Ocean School covers an area of 70,000 square meters, with construction area of over 40,000 square meters. Principal Huang Zhixuan says the school has 150 teachers and the sports venues, canteen, function rooms and other facilities are shared by students of primary and secondary students.
