After a year's construction, the main part of the new Zhongshan Library will be roofed within this month and expected to open next June. 

The new library will achieve intelligent information management by introducing book auto-sorting system. The whole library will be covered by wi-fi network, offers 320 e-reading terminals, digital media and information retrieval. Self-service will be provided as well in applying for library cards, borrowing and returning, searching, renewing and reserving books.

There are four areas in the library for literature service, special reading, reader's activities and security. Within the library there are special halls of Chinese literature, music books, science, cartoon books, children DIY, local literature of Zhongshan and Sun Yat-sen literature.
