On the morning of September 10, the seeing-off ceremony for the first Zhongshan recruit was held in the Zhongshan Station. The first recruit headed off to the military camp to start their military career with relatives’ love and care.

Reportedly, the 60 newbies were recruited from Guangkou, Dongfeng and Huangpu town, and will serve armed forces in Zhengzhou, Henan province. 70% of them are college students. 

Lin Songxuan, aged 21, has dreamed of being solider since he was a child which was influenced by his father’s joining the army. He thinks being a soldier is very cool. Three years ago, Lin Songxuan enlisted as a soldier for the first time. It is his third time to enlist a solider this year. Lin’s father Lin Guomin, who was a veteran, is very excited for his son successful enlistment. “I am very happy for his dream was realized finally.”

Reporter learns that on September 10 to 19, the 519 newly-recruited Zhongshan male soldiers will go to the military camps. After sending away the male soldiers, the final list of female soldiers and their allocation will be confirmed.
