In the coming 5 years’ time, Dachong town of Zhongshan city will invest at least 20 billion yuan in all areas by the chance of being named as “China Characteristic Small Town” and one of the first provincial demonstration sites of “Characteristic Small Town”. 

At present, the 3.3 square kilometers area centered at Chinese Rosewood Culture Expo City is accelerating construction. At least 3 billion yuan have been invested in projects under construction or about to start, including the Mahogany Hotel, Mahogany College, Home Experience Museum, South China Rosewood Garden, South China Industrial Park and so on.

Transportation has been a bottleneck restricting the economic development of Dachong. Since last year, some roads within the town including Zhongxin Highway, Xinghua Road, Chongheng Road and Xingchong Road have been upgraded or renovated, which leads to a better traffic condition. In terms of external traffic, Danan Road connecting to South District and Fenghuang Road connecting to Guangzhou-Zhuhai West Line are both under construction. The letter will be completed by the end of the year. According to town chief He Xiuhu, another highway the Zhongshan West Outer Ring will also run through Dachong.
